The TIA Expert Match Panel - Mansfield vs Liverpool (FA Cup) - The ...

Build Up:
Both teams go into this game on the back of 3-0 wins. Liverpool defeated Sunderland on the 2nd of January whereas; Mansfield secured an away win against Alfreton Town on New Year?s Day.

Liverpool?s most recent game against non-league opposition was a 5-2 victory against Havant and Waterlooville. The Blue Square South team went ahead twice in the opening half an hour at Anfield.

Both Liverpool and Mansfield have won three of their past five games; the former with two losses, and the latter with one loss and one draw.

In our current league campaign, We have not won a match in which we have conceded first, recording four losses and three draws.

Head to Head:
Liverpool and Mansfield have met just twice in their entire history, in a League Cup tie and replay back in 1970. Mansfied drew the home tie 0-0 before losing 3-2 in the replay fixture at Anfield.

The Opposition:
Mansfield should field a strong side as they search for a giant-killing in one of their biggest home ties for many years. Their biggest goal threat will come from Jake Speight, who has scored six goals this season. He will be supported in attack by Matt Green, with the impressive Anthony Howell expected to provide a key outlet in the midfield.

Expected Starting Line-Up For Liverpool:
I?m expecting Liverpool to rest some of the senior players including Lucas, Gerrard, Suarez??and Downing.??Sturridge is expected to make his debut, supported in attack by Suso and Pacheco with Assaidi being away on International duty.

Scoreline:
I think this one should be really easy for Liverpool. I'm expecting another 3-0 win for us.
